Our recipes for healthy food bring together healthy eating recipes for a wide variety of tastes and dietary needs. Use these easy healthy recipes to whip up a quick breakfast to fortify you for your day, or impress your friends at an elegant dinner party.
Healthy eating does not have to involve complicated recipes or hard-to-find ingredients. Most of our recipes for healthy food use items already in your pantry, or are at least easy to find at your local farmers' market or grocery store. And the preparation time for most recipes is 20 minutes or less, which is great for people who feel they don't have time to cook healthy food.
Most people think that healthy cooking has to involve eliminating as much fat as possible from recipes. In fact, you will likely eat less and feel more satisfied if you cook with moderate amounts of good, healthy fats. Our recipes will not advise you to remove the skin from the chicken or substitute cooking spray for butter.
Your cookware is almost as important as what you put in it. Never cook with aluminum cookware, as it will leach into your food and can cause heavy metal poisoning. It's a good idea to invest in some healthy cookware, such as high-quality stainless steel or enameled cast iron cookware. Plain cast iron that you "season" yourself is good too, though you should avoid cooking anything acidic in them, such as vinegar, wine or lemon, as it can create an "off" taste in your food. Cast iron cookware cooks your food evenly and the only thing it will leach is a little iron.

Healthy Chicken RecipesChicken may be one of the most versatile meats there is. It adapts well to a lot of different cooking methods, and is complemented by a wide variety of ingredients. Healthy Chili RecipesChili is a great dish to make in large quantities because it freezes well. Make up a big batch on the weekend and save it in smaller containers, which allows you to have a quick and healthy dinner during the week when you don't have much time to cook. And the flavors actually have a chance to combine and mellow if not eaten immediately. It can be made either with or without meat, and is another meal great for those who are interested in eating healthy on a budget.
