I made my soup with onions garlic a touch of ginger and celery with herbs for taste i used a sprinkle of paprika to.
just fry onions celery ginger in a pan then add your veg stock water and bring to the boil then simmer then when cooked i blend it its delicious.
you don't have to blend it and add barley instead and that is very filling you can try both ways my husband loves both.
